EURUSD pushed out a rally this week while the rest of the USD crosses falters. AUD was especially weak in this week. So will there be a change of trend back to bearish for AUD?

US Stocks

The Dow Jones Index continues with its uptrend.

Apple is heading higher.

Hong Kong Stocks

While the Hang Seng failed to break up and tumbles down.

Singapore Stocks

The STI is waiting....for a big sell?

Cordlife is one of the stocks that has risen so much. Has it become overvalued?

The Weekly Review: Strong Rebound!

EURUSD turned into a weakness and now in the middle consolidation. Aussie is strong in here as there seemed to be more room to go. USDJPY bouncing back in the consolidation. Will it break up?

While EURUSD is weak, EURJPY is strong. In fact all JPY crosses are strong with the exception of GBPJPY. Biggest winners were EURJPY and AUDJPY.

US Stocks

The Dow Jones Index staged a strong rebound after the Fed Minutes. While you were worrying about the US shutdown and dumping your stocks, the big boys were constantly buying up. Hence the result of a strong rebound!

Apple in a consolidation.

Hong Kong Stocks

Hang Seng Index is now in a consolidation range. China's trade balance is just up with worse than expected results of 15.2B instead of forecast of 25.2B. So how will the market will turn up? Down?

Singapore Stocks

Straits Times Index had a strong rebound also. Friday was a down day as people took their profits.

Noble Group had a breakout after a consolidation. The big boys started buying already at the consolidation phase at around 0.80 and if you spotted their buying you are now in big profit!

Wilmar in a certain consolidation also. Look out for it.

Gold

Gold continues to slide. How low will it slide? Good to be short Gold. Just beware of sharp stop hunt by insidious big boys.

The Weekly Review: Nice Rally

EURUSD fared well this week but still very volatile on the last two days of the week. AUDUSD seems to be going up but that a few pinbars on the daily and another pinbar on the weekly chart has me on the conservative side. USDJPY still forming a consolidation pattern before that huge breakout.

US Stocks

The Dow Jones Index has a very nice straight rally with a pause on Thursday and continuation on Friday. Will it go higher?

Apple gapped down after its announcement of the new iPhones.

Hongkong Stocks

Hang Seng Index is having a pause here after a few days of gaps up and rally.

Singapore Stocks

STI seeing another pause and probably a consolidation.

Noble Group had a good rally on Thursday. Sold down by profit taking on Friday. Will more rally to come?

I completely missed out on Ezra. Too bad it should have been a good trade.

Yangzijiang was also another good stock that BBs were trading.

The Weekly Review: The Aussie Slide

The week ends with AUD/USD being the biggest down. After breaking out, many were waiting to sell this as there is no more reason to be bullish on the Aussie dollar. EUR/USD followed suit but at a weaker pace. EUR/JPY continued its upside after a bullish flag.

GBP/USD looks for more downside after a surprise reversal when it looked bullish on the monthly timeframe. More downside to be expected though I am hoping for EUR to break down more than GBP.

US Stocks

Sell in May and go away? Dow Jones Index continued to rally. And if May's selldown did not come true, next year's selldown will be the worst.

Apple due for a rise in the upcoming WWDC?

Singapore Stocks
First Reit rebounded after its selldown. Look for signs of double top.

Tech Oil & Gas finally ended their selldown?

Commodities

Gold certainly wasn't showed any love as it completely sold down in the week. Watch whether it will break out of its support or rebound if you managed to spot a big pinbar which was triggered by massive buying of gold by retailers or bargain hunters.

The Weekly Review: 6 May - 10 May

AUD/USD has a straight down week as it has breached the support and also with the rise of USD. More downside might be expected after a retracement. EUR/USD is still in a consolidation stage but the bias is still downside.
USD/JPY has broken through it's resistance after a consolidation making it more than 100 yen per dollar. Will there be more upside?

US Stocks

Dow Jones Index continues to move higher.

Apple at a turning point.

Singapore Stocks

Wilmar is a likely candidate for a good investment.

The Weekly Review: Singapore stocks are rallying

Eur/usd has broken out of consolidation and has a rally. EUR is strong here. However, Aud/usd is looking weak, continuing with it's drop. More upside for EUR.

US Stocks

Apple had a big gap down on opening as investors get emotional and continues to sell.

Wells Fargo might be looking good for a long.

Singapore Stocks

STI will continue to rise and break new highs. It had formed a pinbar which signalled a bullish movement.

Genting SP is currently in consolidation mode. Might be gearing up for CNY.

Seems property is not going to fall, Capitaland and Kepland continues with their buy up.

The Weekly Review: Stirred But Not Shaken?

After reaching a resistance point, the EUR had a big fall. But I it seemed to be supported at the last pinbar support. If it bounces back it will be a buy. The Aussie has been quite edgy as it became very volatile, however it seemed to be trending up slowly. I will probably stay away from trading AUD/USD. A good buy will be AUD/JPY, as it continues to be trending up. USD/JPY is consolidating now. USD will continue to gain strength overtime. The reason for the consolidation is because everyone is waiting for the decision on Fiscal Cliff.

A bullish pinbar has formed in GBP/USD. It is a very likely buy as the weekly timeframe is favorable for more upside.

US Stocks

The Dow continues its trend up. It has broken up. So it is likely it will continue its trend till news of Fiscal Cliff decision.

Interesting news is that Apple stock slumped 9%, forming a "death cross", which is when the 50-day moving average cross under 200-day moving average. To technical analysts, it means that it is a bearish indication telling you to sell. A "golden cross" is the opposite, indicating a long term bullish buy. This indicator is usually used for US stocks which has a longer history period.
Will Apple fall further?

Singapore Stocks

Singapore Stocks have been much in consolidation for many weeks. Other than this, property stocks have continued to be strong. Kepland, Captialand and CapMallsAsia still showing strength and making new highs. Commodity stocks continue to be weak such as Noble Group, Wilmar and Olam.

Olam has been in a fix lately because of Muddy Waters announcement that the company is having a big risk of debt problems. Before the news, there have been already selling of this stock (Must have been Muddy Waters). Simple technical analysis with a good stop loss will help to minimize your losses in this stock. The lines I have drawn is a pattern which is the underneath forms a increasing support. However, the support broke which the stock made a continuous sell even before the announcement of Muddy Waters. It was probably this period Muddy Waters was making the short selling. BBs are smart and they soon followed. Later the stock bounced back strongly cause of Temasek buying and short covering. Then things became complicated.... So I suggest stay out of Olam till things are clear again.

The Weekly Review: Euro Up

EUR/USD broke out from its resistance and trended up. The move could further push up EUR/USD. EUR/JPY had a few false bearish pinbar, once it broke out of the pinbar it moved further up. This kind of action is called a pinbar failure. AUD/USD had a bullish pinbar up, then continuing to move north. Right now it has a bearish pinbar signalling a possible down move on Monday. I will continue to be bullish on JPY crosses as the Yen might continue its selldown for the next few months. USD/JPY had a bearish pinbar last week. So take some profit.

US Stocks

Apple had a big move up after that pinbar. Simple buy up by the big funds.

Singapore Stocks

Starhub continues to be supported. Will probably be flat.

The Weekly Review: The JPY Short

Last week was certainly a good profit week for those who shorted the Yen. Almost every currency cross with JPY had a very good rally in just a few short days. The rally might continue for the next week looking at the pinbar for EUR/JPY. EUR/USD was stuck at its resistance point when it tried to rally, still it will be a difficult trade for EUR/USD as EUR is still weak and USD is getting stronger. Might look to long if it breaks out of resistance. AUD/USD will likely be moving up next week but be cautious.
Big USD/JPY Rally

US Stocks

There was certainly panic selling as many were dumping their Apple stock after continued decline for many days. But on Friday, there was some buying at the low, forming a pinbar. There might be buying up for Apple. Was the decline a correction or a real decline? Anyway technology stocks are on a decline as it showed the end of Golden Era for technology as nothing new is out that can wow the people.

Singapore Stocks

Singapore stocks continued their decline following the US. Noble Group continued its panic selling by big investors as there were big gaps at every open. But as a Chinese saying: "For every crisis there is an opportunity". Value buyers may lap this up at low price.
Noble Group
Genting found support on Thursday and moved up on Friday. Punters may look to buy into it.
Genting SP: Bullish pinbar after a bearish pinbar

Commodities

Covering gold for this blog for fun this week. As many were wondering how much higher will gold be? Let's look at the big picture.
Monthly Chart of Gold
I used the monthly timeframe to look at gold. Certainly gold had a steady rise over the years since 2002! Gold was seriously cheap at that time! But if you look at gold before 2000, the price of gold was steady between $200 and $300. Now it is at the price of about $1700. Will gold rally further? Nobody knows. Looking at the past few months, price of gold was supported after its decline and than rallied up, then declined again. So gold price will probably be stagnant for awhile. When gold price drops below the green support line, thats where big funds are going to sell.
