The Weekly Review: No Tapering Yet

EURUSD gained significantly this week after the fed announcement of no tapering yet. So does AUDUSD, however Aussie showed strong weakness on Friday pulling back significantly ending a pinbar. Will it continue its rally? We shall see next week. USDJPY is getting tighter for a move.

US Stocks

Dow Jones Index had a good rally. On Friday it gave back most of its gains. So it will be a pullback next week.

Singapore Stocks

Property stocks staged a good recovery from its low.

Now we shall see if property stocks will get stuck into consolidation or will start a new bullish trend.

For REITs lovers, CDL Hospitality Trust is looking good for a buy.

Might look to fly long term for this new stock. After dropping to a low of about 0.84, it rose significantly now.

The Weekly Review: USD Gains Strength

This week ended with the EUR/USD in a long fall while EUR/JPY kept strength. The AUD/USD continues its fall this week, probably falling further.
USD/JPY gained huge strength this week after Ben Bernanke's talk on tapering off Bond purchases. Currently it hits its resistance so will it break up and continue its rally now that interest rates are set to rise soon?

US Stocks

Dow Jones Index reached its another support.

Apple did not manage to gain strength and continues down.

Singapore Stocks

Seems like Singapore stocks still continues with its second wave of selling. Or is it the last wave?

STI recovered strength on Friday. Covering shorts?

REITS continued its selling.

Commodities

Gold continued its fall further as USD gained strength and investors bailed out.

The Weekly Review: Another Crazy Week

EUR/USD continued the upward bounce from last week due to the fall of the dollar. EUR/JPY had a slight weakness and fell but recovered on reaching its support. AUD/USD remained weak.

USD/JPY had a long fall due to weaking dollar and rising Yen for that week. It has currently bounced off a support on Friday after the NFP report as many traders took to take profit or was caught in a squeeze.

US Stocks

Dow Jones Index bounced off sharply after reaching support and also on Friday's NFP report.

Apple is going to unveil its new products soon in the upcoming WWDC. How will it stock react?

Hong Kong Stocks

Became interested in Hang Seng Index recently because of its potential big profits when you are trading long term in it despite its volatility. Hang Seng ended down for the week. Futures from Friday night indicated a slight bounce. So it might open up on Monday.

Singapore Stocks

Properties like Kepland continues to slide in the week.

REITS holders, are you panicking?

Wilmar isn't spared from the fall too. Broke past its support.

Commodities

Gold is still bouncing around as it failed to move any higher. If it breaks further, then it will be a long way down to cheaper gold.

The Weekly Review: Start of the Correction or Crash?

AUD/USD continues its weakness but slowing down on reaching support. EUR/USD bounced from its bearish state and reverses upwards as USD continues to weaken. EUR/JPY slowly moving down as JPY gains strength.
JPY crosses are slowly moving down as the JPY strengthens up. Will see more movement down from JPY crosses especially from USD/JPY and AUD/JPY.

US Stocks
Stocks are pushing down on the Friday. Notice there was a double top.

Totally missed out this great short. Weeks of bulls wiped out within 3 days.

Singapore Stocks
This reminded me of my previous post on the "The REITS Bubble". Panic sell in just a week.

Dividend stocks like StarHub are taking huge hits.

The Weekly Review: Another Volatile Week

EUR/USD rebounded in the week and it was a very volatile week with major downs and ups. We are still waiting to see if it will break down below. EUR/JPY remained flat with a slight bearish bias. AUD/USD continued on the bearish slide and more will come.

GBP/USD might return to the upside based on the 4H chart.

US Stocks
Dow Jones Index exhibiting a bearish pin bar but market is still trying to support it. Will it be the end of the rally?

While Wells Fargo continues its rally.

Singapore Stocks
Most of the stocks in Singapore fell especially properties and REITS. Was it a panic sell by retailers or the real selling has begun?

Commodities
Gold is still on the whipsaw. Likely on bearish side.

The Weekly Review: The Aussie Slide

The week ends with AUD/USD being the biggest down. After breaking out, many were waiting to sell this as there is no more reason to be bullish on the Aussie dollar. EUR/USD followed suit but at a weaker pace. EUR/JPY continued its upside after a bullish flag.

GBP/USD looks for more downside after a surprise reversal when it looked bullish on the monthly timeframe. More downside to be expected though I am hoping for EUR to break down more than GBP.

US Stocks

Sell in May and go away? Dow Jones Index continued to rally. And if May's selldown did not come true, next year's selldown will be the worst.

Apple due for a rise in the upcoming WWDC?

Singapore Stocks
First Reit rebounded after its selldown. Look for signs of double top.

Tech Oil & Gas finally ended their selldown?

Commodities

Gold certainly wasn't showed any love as it completely sold down in the week. Watch whether it will break out of its support or rebound if you managed to spot a big pinbar which was triggered by massive buying of gold by retailers or bargain hunters.

Happy Labour Day! The REITS Bubble?

Happy Labour Day!

It is a day of rest for many of us working in the busy life. Today I will like to touch on something that is really hot right now in the Singapore stock sector: REITS. REITS have been around for quite a long time. They are a good bunch of stocks which gives good amount of dividends from the rentals they collect to the shareholders. Recently in this year, REITS have a tremendous bull with the on going of low interest rate and stagnation of growth stocks. The movement of REITS have been so great that it seems to look alot like a bubble. As the news spreads among investors and recommendations by investing programmes, people are buying up on these hot stocks as rentals are on a rise in Singapore and many more shopping centres are opening. REITS are certainly a good investment when you can get their stock price at the low and at the same time collecting dividends. When the stock price rise, you can even sell them at a profit. However right now, they are looking expensive and probably ridiculous looking at the charts. But how high can it go? I do not know. Here are some Reits that I have looked. Some are forming dangerous signals, some still have room to grow. Take a look, decide for yourself whether to get in the wagon or not.

FirstREIT. Wow this is parabolic! There's no correction for this stock as it just keeps going and going.

MapletreeLog. This stock has a steady growth, might continue on for this year.

CDL HTrust. This hospitality Reit might have reached it's top.

Ascendasreit. This one still has room to move. It's dividend given seems to be quite frequent.

The Weekly Review: Making Yen Cheap

We had a very big rally this week thanks to the BOJ. JPY crosses were explosive. EUR sets for a comeback while the AUD/USD looks bearish. AUD now looks stuck at the support waiting for the breakdown. USD/JPY might continue to rally as it broke out of the high.

US Stocks

Seems the Dow Jones Index fell last night and recovered. Still stuck in a consolidation range.

Has Amgen finally reached the top?

Singapore Stocks

Singapore stocks looked very weak on Friday with most stocks plunging down.
Genting on the lifeline.

Properties looking weak.

But REITS are still going strong.

Commodities
Gold had reached its major support and rebounded.
Let's take a look at the weekly.
Will gold rebound? Or will it breakdown and cause a gold panic?
