The Weekly Review: Start of the Correction or Crash?

AUD/USD continues its weakness but slowing down on reaching support. EUR/USD bounced from its bearish state and reverses upwards as USD continues to weaken. EUR/JPY slowly moving down as JPY gains strength.
JPY crosses are slowly moving down as the JPY strengthens up. Will see more movement down from JPY crosses especially from USD/JPY and AUD/JPY.

US Stocks
Stocks are pushing down on the Friday. Notice there was a double top.

Totally missed out this great short. Weeks of bulls wiped out within 3 days.

Singapore Stocks
This reminded me of my previous post on the "The REITS Bubble". Panic sell in just a week.

Dividend stocks like StarHub are taking huge hits.

The Weekly Review: Another Volatile Week

EUR/USD rebounded in the week and it was a very volatile week with major downs and ups. We are still waiting to see if it will break down below. EUR/JPY remained flat with a slight bearish bias. AUD/USD continued on the bearish slide and more will come.

GBP/USD might return to the upside based on the 4H chart.

US Stocks
Dow Jones Index exhibiting a bearish pin bar but market is still trying to support it. Will it be the end of the rally?

While Wells Fargo continues its rally.

Singapore Stocks
Most of the stocks in Singapore fell especially properties and REITS. Was it a panic sell by retailers or the real selling has begun?

Commodities
Gold is still on the whipsaw. Likely on bearish side.

The Weekly Review: 29 April - 3 May

Forex

The week has still ended volatile and flat as JPY crosses had a big down and then a big up. EUR/USD has not made any direction at all as it is still struggling with a resistance. Same for AUD/USD who is on support.

GBP/USD might be continuing upwards for next week.

US stocks

Dow Jones Index has made a new high hitting 15,000 after results from Non-farm employment. Is it the top?

Is Wells Fargo ready for turn down?

The Weekly Review: Happy Chinese New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year! For the Chinese, this is a very festive occasion as everyone celebrates the lunar new year.

The origin of Chinese New Year is itself centuries old and gains significance because of several myths and traditions. People celebrate the Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year is celebrated in China and in countries and territories with significant Chinese populations, including Hong Kong, MacauTaiwanSingapore, ThailandIndonesiaMalaysiaMauritius, Philippines, and also in Chinatowns elsewhere. Chinese New Year is considered a major holiday for the Chinese and has had influence on the lunar new year celebrations of its geographic neighbors.
Within China, regional customs and traditions concerning the celebration of the Chinese new year vary widely. People will pour out their money to buy presents, decoration, material, food, and clothing. It is also traditional for every family to thoroughly cleanse the house, in order to sweep away any ill-fortune and to make way for good incoming luck. Windows and doors will be decorated with red colour paper-cuts and couplets with popular themes of "good fortune" or "happiness", "wealth", and "longevity." The evening preceding Chinese New Year's Day is an occasion for Chinese families to gather for the annual reunion dinner. Activities include lighting firecrackers, wishing relatives a happy new year, and giving money in red paper envelopes.

Forex

Back to our analysis, the Euro has given up on bulls and bears has taken over after last week of rally. Aud/usd will continue to show weakness.

US stocks

The Dow Jones Index continues to consolidate. Waiting for a breakout?

Amgen went back up and consolidates.

Alcoa continues to consolidate. This is a very good potential investment as the risk reward is very good.

Wells Fargo may still consolidate.

Google. Forgotten to eyeball this stock and it soared to a new high.

Singapore stocks

Congrats to those who bought Genting SP. That was a good rally.

Wilmar. Put it in your radar and wait for that signal to long.

Yanlord looking for a good long.

The Weekly Review: Singapore stocks are rallying

Eur/usd has broken out of consolidation and has a rally. EUR is strong here. However, Aud/usd is looking weak, continuing with it's drop. More upside for EUR.

US Stocks

Apple had a big gap down on opening as investors get emotional and continues to sell.

Wells Fargo might be looking good for a long.

Singapore Stocks

STI will continue to rise and break new highs. It had formed a pinbar which signalled a bullish movement.

Genting SP is currently in consolidation mode. Might be gearing up for CNY.

Seems property is not going to fall, Capitaland and Kepland continues with their buy up.

The Weekly Review: We Survived The End of The World!

The EUR/USD and EUR/JPY has reached a resistance after a very satisfying up move. So one will have to wait for another test of low before buying in again. For those who are more speculative, one can short these two crosses as they hit a month resistance. My weekly timeframe is showing a bearish pinbar for EUR/USD. AUD/USD has tumbled down after 2 bearish pinbars. Congrats for those who shorted AUD/USD last week!

US Stocks

Seems Dow Jones Index has hit a resistance and coming down. Support was seen for Friday.

Wells Fargo failed to move higher after its support.

Singapore Stocks

Kepland had a freak rally on Friday going from $4 to a high of $4.26. I do not know what news came out for this stock but it was really a big one. After the high, profit taking by banks pushed it down to become a very big pinbar. Will it continue up more? Take some profit and I suggest waiting to buy another low will be better than buying the high. Profit from this stock would have netted you a handsome reward if you bought it at a low last month.

Time to short Osim?

For Wilmar, after a huge one day rise, it was pushed back down into a resistance zone. For the coming weeks one will need patience for this stock. Rewards will be very good if it manages to move up above.

Genting may be in consolidation mode. May have more upside.

Guess 21/12/12 was not the end of the world yet. According to the Chinese calendar, it is the winter solstice where everyone will gather together and have "tang yuan" soup. Well and according to some other sources about the Mayan lore, 21/12/12 marks the end of an era and comes a new age of "consciousness" which means will we gain new telepathic powers? Can we read minds and communicate without phones in the future? That will be exciting!

The Weekly Review: A New Trend

The Euro continues to be moving up after the retracement last week. Congrats for those who have bought on the low. EUR/USD had a pinbar on Thursday which then broke out of resistance on Friday. EUR/JPY is abit hovering on resistance, currently showing a bullish pin bar which signified that likely more upside is possible. If you look at the monthly chart of both EUR/USD and EUR/JPY, you would see that the trend is changing to bullish. It just needs to break out of the monthly resistance. On the other hand, AUD/USD is having trouble breaking up as you can see the repeated bearish pinbar. It does not mean that a good short is coming as it might be trying to breakout of a very strong resistance.

US Stocks

Wells Fargo is looking good for a long. This stock is also one of Warren Buffett's stock portfolio. In this case the call for upside is because of technical reason not investment.

Singapore Stocks

Yangzijiang is looking for a good long term upside if it manage to maintain its support.

But Cosco Corp still remains weak.

Genting SP broke out of its resistance, hence there is huge buying. Hmm.. will gambling stock continue its bull?
